Work     About     Behance     Instagram     Forgotten Typefaces
Made with honey, Mélia products are meticulously handcrafted in within the Miels d’Anicet’s workshop adjacent to the apiary in Ferme-Neuve, in the High Laurentians. Artisinal and organic, it has an ever expanding range of products that are made with care and love for the nature.

Mélia started off as an offshoot of the celebrated Quebec honey brand Miels d’Anicet. The brand needed a refreshing to keep up with the hype of the Anicet’s honey, but wanted to make it an evolution rather than a complete revamp.

The logo was refined and tied to the main brand by using a typeface that was within the same family as the Miels d’Anicet. The honeycomb shape was preseved but the text was completely reworked. Some of the patterns were revised and new ones were created like the old-school illustrated botanical patterns. Colours palette was updated and expanded to give it more vibrancy. Ultimately, a system was created that is flexible and rich with assets to play with.

Work done at Caserne.
